Emergency standby power plant is an essential piece of equipment for any organisation investing in its installation. The project for Cube was to upgrade the clients existing standby diesel generator set with a new 1250 Kva P1 rated set. This involved the removal of the existing set from an its location in an underground basement, modifications and extension to the generator room, installation of new exhaust flue system and the diversion and upgrade of the power supply cables for the new generator. As part of the project Cube supplied and installed a mobile generator set, which was connected to the clients electrical equipment to ensure that in the event of a power failure over the 4 weeks of the project, the client would be provided with emergency standby power.

Working with the manufacturer, Cummins Power Generation, Cube successfully completed the project on time and within budget and negotiated on behalf the client the sale of the existing standby set.
