A successful business, growing and in need of an organisation to provide a creative solution to a problem of insufficient space for new team members and lacking in meeting, training and conference facilities, Cube were recommended to Wendy Capelin HR, Facilities and Training Manager by their neighbouring organisation who used us for similar services.
The challenge was to come up with ideas to improve the environment and at the same time get more into it. By initially establishing the key elements of the project, Cube came up with proposals to maximise the space in the 20,000 sq ft building by looking at how facilities might be redesigned.
Firstly a reorganisation of the desks, and relocation of some of the meeting rooms provided for an additional 30 desks, a learning and resource centre, an IT store with workspace, a small dedicated DR room and an additional 2 1-1 rooms all in the same square footage. The next part of the project was to look at the conferencing suite, which consisted on a conference room, 6 person training room, and 3 meeting rooms which whilst functional was not ideal. By changing the design Cube managed to increase the training room from 6 to 16 delegates, increase the size of the conference room, provide 3 meeting rooms of equivalent size to the existing and manage to fit 2 1-1 rooms. The work included solid and glass partitions, decoration, new corporate colour designed carpet, new lighting, power, data infrastructure, modifications to air conditioning, fire systems and installation of smart-board and 60 inch LCD screen to the conference suite.
